Installation Options

To control the installation behaviour the installer can be run with switches as defined here http://www.jrsoftware.org/ishelp/index.php?topic=setupcmdline

In particular you may be interested in switches /SILENT, /VERYSILENT and /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES to deploy installation silently to users.

In addition to the standard switches, you can use extra (optional) parameters to save your users some trouble:

  • /serverurl="your server address" to set the environment variable that defines the licence server location. Default is blank
  • /licenceDefaultType=Viewer|Contributor|Developer to set the licence type to get from the server when none was previously set by the user. Default is none, i.e. the user need to explicitly pick one

DEFAULT VALUE NAMES

The name Author is also an accepted alias of Contributor, and the names Admin and Full are accepted aliases of Developer.

  • /licenceOverrideUserType=True|False to force the /licenceDefaultType to be restored when the user open a new session of BimSens, regardless of the last type used. Default is False
